Motivation

I've seen and
imagined it;
did exactly
as I thought;
Did what I
set out to do

Did it;
yet it will not define
who I was nor
who I am.

Time has stood still
once again
the same challenge
is set before me

I've wanted this
and prepared for this
all my life.

Instinct and Intuition,
Intellect and Passion
All honed and forged
by the fire of love
and the hammer of experience

No longer a title;
its not about earning
the right for others
to call us something.

Its now about knowing
within ourselves
whether or not
we really are who we say we are.

Its not about monuments
but about the trust
that people put in.

Its no longer about
doing things to satisfy your ego
but its about being guided
by better judgement...

Its no longer about fame
or about just changing the world
Its about loving what you do
and doing it for the rest of your life

Its not about the money
its about the direct joy you earn
from the act of creation.
Its about the mobility
that it affords you to do more...

Its not about Man's abilities;
but God's gifts...

Its not about the code or the law...
its what you intuitively know as right
and beautiful... in your soul

Its not about three days
or the volumes of books
or the sheets of tracing paper
Its about earning the humility
and the wisdom to realize
that at the end of the day...
despite the honor...or dishonor
we are all just starting...

I may not know all there is to know
I may not have read or seen or
experienced everything...
But with what I've learned so far...
I know I'm ready.
Because whatever happens...
it will not define me.
