Yesterday, I just got word that the project that I've been planning,
scheming and revising the past 4 months was just cancelled because the
property that we were to develop was bought out in a flash deal by a
rival developer. Wow, just like that, my project was erased... badtrip
pare... pano ba naman masyado inupuan ng company yung decision making
process... if we could have closed the deal faster and just figure out
what to do with the lot later... then maybe it would have still been a
go... but then... can't place the blame on my company din, the rival
developer was probably working on a deal for quite a while narin, and
I'm sure the seller/brokers grabbed the chance at a fat cash
downpayment.
I guess... this is just another in a long list of still-born projects
that I'll be running into, I guess I just have to learn from these
projects, and soldier on... because sooner or later... I'll hit it. And
when I do... I want to be ready.
Think of it in a positive light: you did not lose money out of it. Your ideas are still up on your head, and in the future when you are the one making the calls, you won't sit on it and let someone else take it.
