  1. These are nice designs. Have you done restaurants and food processing establishments?

  3. Not for the next few years.

Actually, I asked because I work as a consultant in the Food Industry. We provide assistance in designing commisaries and restaurants, specifically in the form of the technical side of the food business: Food Safety Systems, Time-Space Workflows, International Standards, etc.

We have some upcoming projects that are in the proposal stages. When larger projects come through, some of the new businesses asks us to recommend suppliers, machinists, contractors and architects. How much do you usually charge?

  4. Well we normally charge depending on the scope of work... pero generally architects charge a certain percentage of the overall cost of the project, so for example... if the project... like a house... costs around 10 million, the sandard rate should be at 10% of the project cost (for residences... mas mahal siya kasi smaller yung project and mas specialized)

For restaurants/food service establishments... the normal rate would be at 6% but the code is usually not followed because we would end up pricing ourselves out of our client's budget... we usually aim for 3-5% for mid sized to large projects...

Let me know if I you need me to send up a company profile your way... =)

Thanks for your interest. I saw your website... your services sound very intriguing... ;)

  5. Thanks for visiting our website. Our services are rather specific to the industry and usually only the people already in the industry.

I see what you mean by your pricing scheme since we are also pricing our services the same way. It is hard to put an exact percentage of the cost since many of our clients are SMEs that are either starting out or has very limited capital. There were even times that I had to learn CAD since the company I worked with could not afford an architect and asked me to do the floor plan (they were paying so low, I could not outsource the drafts).

Keep in touch. We are expecting several larger projects next year and if our clients ask for a referral for architects, I'll throw it your way.

    Thanks again.
